SCS Forest Products, Inc. acquires the assets of Northern Milltech Inc.
 
Denver, CO - November 10, 2007 - SCS Forest Products, Inc., Denver, CO (SCS FP) announced today that it has acquired the assets of Northern Milltech (NMI), Fort St. James, BC, the leading provider of moisture measurement systems for the sawmill and planer mill market.

Improved moisture control has emerged as a critical process element in the forest products industry as mills increasingly focus on profitability and yield. Adding NMI's widely adopted sawmill and planer mill moisture measurement systems to SCS FP's in-kiln moisture measurement product line, offers customers a tightly integrated, end-to-end moisture measurement solution.

The opportunity for significant yield improvement at the planer mill is substantial. NMI and SCS estimate that better moisture control can result in a 4% or greater improvement in moisture grade. Seamless integration of the various moisture measurement systems is imperative in order to achieve optimum results.
